About Us

On this page you will find information about us and how this site, Resources for Christian Teachers, came to be.

I retired in May of 2005, after 28 years of teaching.  Twenty-one of those years were in Christian schools and seven were in public school. Before I completed my degrees, I was a substitute teacher  in public and private schools.

After teaching for twenty-one years in the U.S., my husband and I accepted teaching positions at Saipan Community School, a Christian school, in the Northern Mariana Islands. I have placed some slides on another page to show you a little about our years on Saipan. Click here to view the slides.

It was during those six years on the Pacific island of Saipan that I first developed this site for Christian teachers. During that time, I found a wealth of material on the internet which was very useful in supplementing the curriculum in my classroom. I decided to create this site, mainly as a resource for missionaries who did not have immediate access to many of the teaching materials we have in the U.S.

The site has grown and changed since its inception, and it is accessed by people around the world.  The main goal is still to help teachers, whether they are in Christian schools, mission schools, public schools, home-schools, or other children's ministry.

I hope this site has been helpful to you , and that you have been able to use materials found at the links on these pages. I enjoy hearing from people who have been helped through this site.

In His service,

Audrey Smith

What I Believe

I believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

I believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.

I believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful mankind and that only by God's grace through faith are we justified.

I believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - those who are saved to the resurrection of life, and those who are lost to the resurrection of condemnation.

I believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ, and the evidence of that unity being shown by how we love one another.
